Using an activation USB stick The R-Studio Technician license provides the ability to create a USB stick for activation, which allows the licensee to activate/verify the license completely offline using a supported USB stick of their choice. The USB stick can be used not only for license verification but also for installing R-Studio Technician Portable and one of the bootable versions (WinPE or Linux) of R-Studio Technician Emergency (Startup version). This means that an R-Studio Technician licensee can create a universal USB stick and use it to run R-Studio Technician on any computer, whether connected to the Internet or offline, running OS or with a damaged OS, at a facility with or without Internet access.
The R-Studio Emergency license is included with the R-Studio Technician license. To learn how to create an R-Studio Emergency Startup Device and activate it, please review our article "Emergency File Recovery".
The R-Studio Agent and R-Studio Agent Emergency licenses are part of the R-Studio Technician license. Detailed instructions for their use and activation can be found on our pages "Data Recovery over Network" and "Emergency Data Recovery over Network".
